And just to drive home my point from yesterday... she NEVER puts the scooter away.

Day 17/365
I am not sure how and when this became okay..... but Sophie rides her scooter INDOORS!! And she now watches t.v. while "scootering" back and forth.

Day 16/365
Tonight I took some pictures of Anthony through the window of his room - not creepy-like - both him and his parent KNEW I was taking the pictures. I feel so blessed to watch all these neighborhood kids grow up... I adore them.
Day 14/365
Today we went to the library and we were so happy to figure out the easiest way to get all sorts of audio books with matching books in Sophie's level. I want to do all I can to help her succeed... dyslexia may slow her down sometimes, but it will never stop her!!
We got started right away - reading in the car...
We got started right away - reading in the car...
And I can never resist a great shot of Sophie and Zoey snuggling...

Day 13/365
So... the elf on the shelf comes to visit us every year. Apparently he is supposed to arrive on December 1st... well he was a little late this year. (Sophie... not happy) He apparently goes to the North Pole every night and comes back in a different spot each day... so a couple of days he apparently forgot to come back in a different spot (Sophie... not happy). Then..... apparently... he is supposed to leave Christmas Eve. Well ours showed up sitting in the Christmas tree on Christmas day... Jason and I weren't surprised because we thought he would like to stick around but Sophie... you get it.... not happy. So we figured he would leave right after Christmas. Well... apparently not. Because it is January 13th and he is still here. And shows no signs of leaving. (Sophie... not happy) But don't get me wrong... in between all these elf faux pas... Sophie... happy. She loves the elf. (and the elf should be happy because he picked up a girlfriend along the way)
Day 12/365
As part of the biggest loser contest we are eating healthy. This is one of my FAVORITES!!
This salad starts with the bag lettuce, add apples, strawberries, grapes, cucumbers, almonds and rotisserie chicken. Yummy yum yum.
Day 11/365
Today after gymnastics the kids got for a snack the COOLEST cookies that grammy bought. Star Wars cookies!!! YUM... except that Sophie didn't actually like the taste of them. (but loved the looks of them for sure)

Day 8/365
Today I told Sophie that friendship is sometimes really difficult. But SO VERY worth it!! (a tough lesson to learn at any age)
Day 7/365
Funny story from soup night tonight...
We told all the kids to pick up, and of course they don't want to. And what they are willing to pick up is ONLY what they played with. So Kaitlyn said she didn't play with anything... as she played with the kitchen stuff... then she giggled (realizing she was "caught") and started picking up. Then... she was told to pick up the play clothes in Ella's bedroom... which she insisted she ABSOLUTELY didn't play with. Until... it was pointed out.... she was still wearing one of the skirts!!! Even she giggled and went to pick up Ella's room.

Day 6/365
Sophie loves to snuggle with the dog. (because most of the time the dog is biting her)
And she got a belated Christmas gift from her Aunt and it is SUPER cozy.
Day 5/365
Sophie got a new hat from Grammy and Skip (I think picked out by Skip). She loves her hats... and who wouldn't... because she looks so cute!!
Day 4/365
I love being a mom. Here is Sophie in the morning trying her hardest to get out of bed.
And today I promised Sophie I would go for a walk (because she is my coach) after I dropped her off at school... but then I remembered I had to go grocery shopping and Donna had a great idea to walk to Publix... so we did... and we walked back holding 2 bags each. I was SO glad she talked me into it!!
Day 3/365
These are my sneakers. And here is what I am doing. I am NOT putting them in my closet. I am leaving them anywhere I can quickly grab them. Because I can't exercise in flip flops. (although I wish I could)
Day 2/365
This is what I call an idea gone wild... oh no wait... 2 ideas gone wild in the same day!!
First... because I am incapable of taking the easy road, I came up with a ridiculous idea to make a life-size Candyland game for the Winter Festival at Sophie's school. And because I have a husband who knows me well enough to know he should just roll with it... we actually are making a life-size Candyland game. I love it!
THEN... we have started our own neighborhood Biggest Loser contest. I never... in a million billion years... thought that I would stand in front of all my neighbors (i also call them family) and get on a scale. Never. But it was somehow free-ing... and since they are a group that knows how to accept people just they way they are... I felt safe. Now... GAME ON!!
And here we are!! Here's to 2011!!!

Our official weigh-in book. (using American Crafts thickers and BasicGrey micro letters of course) And actually - this was my CHA book so I better buy a new one before we leave.
Here we are... the before photo! Sophie is our coach!
And here is a horrible picture... but we were cracking up because right before the picture, Sophie spit (literally spit) 3 giant mints out of her mouth into my hand so she could smile.
And here we are!! Here's to 2011!!!
Day 1/365
I can't believe I am starting my own personal blog. I have my Scrappy Boutique blog and most times I am SO VERY bad at updating it. So if my word for the year is balance... WHY IN THE WORLD would I do this? I will tell you... I am so overwhelmed right now and yet when I wanted to take a break from my endless list of things to do (not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel here)... I find myself wanting to make a blog. So I remembered that I loved Amy's blog, so I went to her blog and stole it. jk. But I did go and use the same companies she used. :) Thank you, Amy.
So hear is what you will find on this blog. (All 2 of you reading it!!) I was inspired by my dad and my cousin Suzanne to do the 365 project (even though I told Amy last year that it sounded like the most painful thing in the world to me). So I went to a 365 website and registered and uploaded photos, but it just didn't feel like me.
My dad has not revealed his 365 book yet, but I am guessing it is done with all printed photos. And I don't think that is me right now either.
So..... I have decided that I am going to blog my 365 project (and you may see my One Word journey on here too).
This is just for fun. And hopefully will last 365 days. And will hopefully be different than my Scrappy B blog... because I should have some balance.

Day 1/365
So I am totally cheating on Day 1. Big shock right?? On December 31st I took Casey (age 15) for her first driving lesson. That is when I took this picture. On January 1st (1/365), I took her again. So... I am not going to sweat the small stuff that the picture is actually from the day before. Balance... right??
I love this photo!! Casey is beautiful inside and out and I love her sense of humor.
And because I always try to be so super thorough... I taught her how to pump gas, too!!
